The salary range for this position is $18-$20 an hour

Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all agency, local, state, and federal policies and regulations
  • Develop effective job coaching and employment plans
  • Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions
  • Assist participants with identifying and overcoming barriers to employment success
  • Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively
  • Guide individuals in learning the skills needed to complete job tasks
  • Help in the development of motivation and self-confidence
  • Provide coaching related to job search skills
  • Provide on-the-job coaching supports for participants
  • Assist people with disabilities in developing social and independent living skills
  • Advise on workplace accommodations for people with disabilities
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of program participants
  • Keep records and maintain documentation
  • Thoroughly prepare appropriate reports in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Proven experience as job coach
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Experience developing and implementing employment plans
  • Ability to adhere to regulations and standards
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving ability
  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to inspire and motivate
  • High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • Mass transit travel is required
