Edison State Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Career Pathways Enrollment Navigator. The Career Pathways Enrollment Navigator is a key Student Affairs team member, providing strategic outreach and recruitment for Edison State Community College. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract an assigned population of students. The Navigator will promote Edison State's Career Pathways model and serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process and connecting them with appropriate resources. Working closely with other College stakeholders, the Navigator ensures seamless integration of recruitment efforts with enrollment management goals while aligning with the College's strategic vision.

Functional Responsibilities:
Student Advising and Support:
- Under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, execute an annual adult and student recruitment plan designed to increase community awareness of Edison State, increase prospective student inquiries, and drive enrollment.
- Create and implement recruitment strategies that address the unique barriers faced by the assigned student population.
- Represent Edison State at community events, career fairs, and workforce development initiatives.
- Conduct outreach to business organizations, community groups, and industry partners to identify potential students and promote Edison State's educational opportunities.
- Design and deliver presentations tailored to students’ needs and concerns.
- Analyze recruitment data to measure effectiveness and inform strategy adjustments.
- Manage recruitment territory, ensuring productive partnerships between community partners and Edison State.
Prospective Student Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students.
- Guide applicants through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
- Communicate the value of Edison State's Career Pathways model in terms of career advancement and economic mobility.
- Explain Prior Learning Assessment opportunities and transfer credit evaluation processes.
- Connect prospective students with financial aid resources, including employer tuition benefits and specialized scholarships.
- Assist with application completion and placement assessment interpretation.
- Coordinate with Career Pathways Advisors to ensure seamless transition from recruitment to advising.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage prospective student communications and tracking.
- Document interactions with prospective students according to established procedures.
- Prepare reports and proposals assigned by the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with key College stakeholders to support students growth and academic success.
- Develop events, programs, and resources for prospective students with colleagues in Academic Affairs, Workforce Development, and Student Affairs.
- Partner with Workforce Development to identify potential student recruitment opportunities.
- Work with Marketing to develop effective recruitment materials targeting an assigned population of prospective students.
- Maintain awareness of flexible program offerings, including online, hybrid, accelerated, and evening/weekend options.
- Lead campus visits by prospective students and groups.
- Assist with timely and accurate application processing as needed.
- Support day, evening, and weekend enrollment and registration activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of academic programs, admission requirements, and student services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Personal Qualifications:
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of admissions and recruitment programs designed to attract and support students.
- Comprehensive understanding of the unique qualities and attributes of various student populations.
- Working knowledge of applying data-informed decision making to support strategic enrollment priorities.
- Ability to effectively communicate student learning outcomes with industry-recognized credentials to adult prospects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to and ability to work with student, faculty, and staff populations.
- High energy, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and student information systems.
- Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Understanding of Edison State's Career Pathways model and Guided Pathways approach.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in higher education recruitment, adult education, workforce development, or related field.
- Demonstrated success in recruitment, enrollment, or similar functions.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Experience working with adult student populations preferred.
- Community college experience preferred.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Other:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Evening and weekend work required for recruitment events.
- Travel throughout the service area required.
- Position based at Piqua campus with regular travel to regional campuses (Greenville, Eaton, and Troy).
Supervises the following staff:
Student workers as needed.

The following benefits are available to full-time Professional/Technical employees. Employees working less than thirty hours a week are ineligible.

Retirement Benefits:
- Edison State Community College participates in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS).
- Based upon the Ohio Revised Code, 10% of an Edison State employee's gross salary is deposited into their individual OPERS account. The college contributes an additional 14% which is not figured into the employee's base salary.
- An option for an alternate retirement plan is also available. Employee and employer contributions would be the same as above.

Vacation:
Professional/Technical employees receive 3 weeks of vacation each year which begins accruing on the employee's first pay period. After five years of employment with Edison State the Professional/Technical employee will receive 3.5 weeks each year, after ten years this increases to 4 weeks, after fifteen years the employee will receive 4.5 weeks of vacation and this once again increases to 5 weeks after twenty years of employment with the college.
Sick Leave:
Edison State employees receive 3 weeks of sick leave each year which begins accruing on the employees first pay period.
Holiday Pay:
At the start of their employment employees are eligible to receive pay for the 11 holidays for which the campus is closed.
Tuition Waiver:
- Edison State employees receive 100% of their instructional fees waived for any Edison State courses they take.
- Dependents (spouse or children) of full time Edison State employees receive the same 100% waiver for Edison State course instructional fees and dependents of part time employees receive a partial waiver.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Edison State offers partial tuition reimbursement for continued education.
Health Club Contribution:
Edison State will pay a portion of an employee's yearly premiums for a health club membership. Memberships to some local YMCA organizations can be payroll deducted.
The college also provides an on-site fitness center to employees, students and the community at no charge.
