PAYROLL TITLE: PARENTING PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Under the Supervision of the EHS Program Manager, the Parenting Program Coordinator, of the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), will ensure the overview of the requisite attendance, and documents of all program metrics required by The Children’s Trust. The Parenting Program Coordinator works closely with the Parenting Program Facilitator(s). implementing intentional strategies to recruit and enroll families, retain and engage these families, and provide families with much needed resources, along with providing training in the requisite curriculum.
Recruitment
- Manage the referral process to recruit and complete the required cohorts at a minimum of 140 families per year.
- Works closely with Parenting Program Facilitator, the family services department, education department, and mental health/disability department to develop recruitment and maintain a process for the specific families targeted in Le Jardin’s Parenting Program and implements such ongoing recruitment process.
- In order to build capacity and knowledge of benefits of the program, serve as a positive, proactive voice for Le Jardin and the Triple P initiative through social media, public speaking, representation at delegate and grantee parent meetings, and onsite and community events.
- Manage all attendance-based activities, motivational opportunities, and incentives to ensure recruitment, retention and engagement of parents.
- Implement and support Triple P activities to ensure a strong connection between school and home including take home activities.
- Monitor physical files and Trust Central monthly ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
- Creates a welcoming environment that incorporates the unique, cultural, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds of families
- Ensures the facilitator provides follow-up telephone calls and individual consulting for participating parents for a minimum of three 15-30 minutes sessions.
- Works closely with the Family Services Coordinator preparing reports on child and family outcomes
- Identify and develop potential community partnerships to generate In-kind and to meet the needs of the family.
- Work closely with The Children’s Trust Program Manager to prepare for monitoring and present the monitoring results to the EHS Program Manager.
- After monitoring parenting program workshops, provide feedback to the facilitator(s) as part of ongoing professional development.
- Coordinate with mental health/disability Manager as a resource for parents.
Parenting Program: Fidelity to the Model
- Manages the group training provided by the facilitator to parents for 12 cohorts of 10-12 parents
- Monitors follow-up telephone calls and individual consulting to the 12 cohorts for a minimum of three 15-30 minute sessions.
- Monitors parent/child assessments as stipulated by the Triple P program and reviews the assessments in Trust Central.
- Works closely with the facilitator to create and distribute family satisfaction surveys. Reviews feedback and plans accordingly.
- Ensure educational materials and resources are ordered through the Electronic Requisition system and distributed accordingly.
- Work closely with the EHS Program Manager and fiscal department to review and renew the contract on a yearly basis.
- Coordinates all Parenting Program extracurricular activities including, but not limited to, field trips and parenting workshops.
Data Management
- Monitors documentation data including, but not limited to: parent and child attendance, parent and child assessments, and data required by the funder (Children’s Trust).
- Monitors all ChildPlus Internal Referrals from Family Workers and Mental Health/Disability components.
- Works with the Parenting Program Facilitator to create and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly reports documenting services provided, family outcomes, and highlighting family events.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed for the benefit of the agency.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures Manual for this position and for the Parenting Program Facilitator position.
- Provide a monthly report to the EHS Program Manager on the Parenting Program progress.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
- Able to participate in a training program that leads to certification for training parents within the Triple P model.
- Ability to take over the cohorts in the event the Parenting Program Facilitator is unavailable.
- Ability to communicate in English professionally both orally in in writing.
- Ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations.
- Able to stand and sit for extended periods
- Able to lift 40 pounds
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or higher
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
