POSITION TITLE: College Success Advisor
REPORTS TO: Manager of Post-Secondary Initiatives
Position Summary:
The College Success Coach’s role is to provide assistance and guidance to students who are enrolled or have graduated from Cleveland Metropolitan School District , with the aim of ensuring students graduate from college and pursue a career that is meaningful to them. This position involves providing college and career workshops, strengthening mentor/mentee relationships, and frequent case management. Additionally, The College Success Coach will collaborate with the Manager of Post-Secondary Initiatives to create strategies, research program best practices, enter and analyzing data, reporting, and recruitment efforts. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Essential Functions
- Research, develop, and promote measurable college retention strategies to ensure students graduate with a degree or certification.
- Provide intensive and culturally supportive case management to students as they progress through their respective college programs. Assess the needs of each student and provide access to campus resources, academic advising, and advocacy where appropriate.
- Assist with the Lideres Avanzando Program execution, including student recruitment, scheduling and delivery of workshops.
- Support the College Mentoring Program initiatives by recruiting and retaining mentors and mentees.
- Support the Internships Program initiatives which provides valuable opportunities for students to gain practical experience, develop relevant work/soft skills, and prepare for a successful career.
- Support the execution of the Esperanza Scholarship Program including the online application process, communication of program dates and coordinating internal processes for applications.
- Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.
- Performs other duties as necessary.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, business, counseling, or related area, with a minimum of 1 year experience or 4 years of relevant experience in program delivery. Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment. Willing to work some weekends and evenings. Bilingual English and Spanish required.
