Position: Associate, Peer-to-Peer Fundraising (Endurance)
Location: Remote (with travel required, ~25%)
Reports to: Manager, Endurance Events
Work from Home Set-Up:

If you are within 2 hours of the office, you must go in twice a week

If you are within a 2–4-hour commute, you must go in once a month

Anybody beyond a 4-hour commute, you must go in once a quarter for a retreat
Overview:
The Associate, Peer-to-Peer Fundraising (Endurance) supports the planning and execution of the company's Endurance fundraising program, including domestic and international marathons, cycling events, and other endurance initiatives. This role focuses on participant recruitment, logistics, fundraising support, and relationship management to maximize revenue and participant engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Support planning and logistics for endurance events, including budgeting, timelines, accommodations, travel, and race-day operations

Manage relationships with participants, donors, and partners to drive engagement and fundraising success

Recruit and support individual and team participants to meet income and participation goals

Coordinate event communications, team newsletters, gear selection, and training materials

Manage event registration, fundraising platforms, and technical materials for internal and external use

Collaborate with the legal and finance teams on contracts, waivers, purchase orders, and invoicing

Partner with other company fundraising teams (Walk/Run, DIY) to align strategy and share resources

Work with sponsors and partners to fulfill event requirements and maximize support

Represent the company and its mission at all assigned events
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of peer-to-peer fundraising experience required.
- Experience within a similar industry preferred
- Track record of assisting with/overseeing successful large-scale events and fundraising experiences, Marathons preferred.
- Marketing experience and excellent persuasive skills with strong negotiation capabilities necessary.
- Demonstrate ability to provide leadership, organize fundraising activities effectively, and participate in high-level client support.
- Proven ability to deliver high-touch customer service and work with customer relations management (CRM) database systems (e.g., keep contact logs, conversation notes, and implement follow-up flags).
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, as well as P2P platforms including Classy, GivenGain, Haku, etc.
- Experience and ability to present and comfortably speak in public is strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize projects with multiple and often competing deadlines.
- Superb organization skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to keep track of event deadlines and communicate with team participants.
- Overall technical proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.
- Ability and willingness to participate in endurance activities, including hiking, standing for long hours, cycling, carrying up to 50 pounds, managing set-up and breakdown of events, high stamina for multi-day events with long hours.
- Ability to work as part of an Endurance Events team and execute large-scale projects individually and as a team.
