Job DescriptionSalary: $16.88/hour
The teacher assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in delivering high-quality early childhood education and comprehensive services to children and families in the Head Start/Preschool Program. They assist in creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment, implementing curriculum activities, and providing individualized support to promote childrens development and school readiness. They are providing care, supervision, and early childhood education to children in a daycare setting. They assist with daily classroom activities, engage with children, and contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment conductive to learning and development. Obtain certificate in emergency first aid and CPR for appropriate age level, CPS reporting requirements, and serving children with special needs training.
Requirements and Qualifications:
High School diploma or Equivalent. Preferred minimum of one year experience within childcare or related field. Relevant certifications in early childhood education, childcare, or related field is preferred but not required. Will be required to enroll in any Early Childhood program or CDA/SAC Certification Courses after completion of successful introductory program. Must obtain CDA/SAC within one (1) year.
