Summary

As a Child Care Teacher at Davis Child Care Center, Oshkosh, WI you will function as a leader on the teaching team and relate positively to serve as an appropriate role model for children. You will redirect children into group activities or towards materials they are using, understand how each child responds to stress and success, and carry out the stated goals, philosophy, policies and procedures as established by the Davis Board of Directors.

Duties

The Child Care Teacher will conduct the planning and implementation of program curriculum, develop goals for each child, evaluate progress, engage in positive relationships with children and families. In addition, as a child care teacher you will perform daily health observations, report any special needs, supervise children during free play, outdoor play, toileting, napping and other activities of daily care in a positive, appropriate manner. The Child Care Teacher will prepare and carry out parent conferences, events, and activities, and any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Lead Teacher qualified
• Exudes maturity and professionalism
• Good communication skills
• Shows initiative and creativity
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have satisfactorily completed two courses for credit in early childhood education, or its equivalent at an institution of higher education.
• Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education.
Child care experience.

Hours: Full-time, 4/10 hour shifts or 5/8hour shifts, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 6am – 5:30pm
