Summary

Do you want to support teachers in making a difference in the lives of young children? Clayton Early Childhood Center, located in Oak Knoll Park, is looking for fun and engaging leader for our Infant Toddler Program.

The Infant Toddler Program Coordinator provides leadership to the Infant Toddler classrooms through supervision, support, and guidance. The Infant Toddler Program Coordinator collaborates with the Leadership Team to deliver effective programming and supervision to the CECC staff.

Please note, we are an independent, non-profit child care center.

Duties

  • Uphold the mission and vision of Clayton Early Childhood Center.
  • Follow State of Missouri Child Care Licensing rules and NAEYC accreditation standards.
  • Communicates with children, families, and staff by being strength-based and solution-focused.Speaks to others with kindness and respect.Assumes positive intent.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff at all times.
  • Provide orientation and onboarding to new infant/toddler teaching staff, as well as ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring for all infant/toddler staff
  • Provide one-on-one supervision meetings every other month with each infant/toddler teacher.Provide infant/toddler team meetings every other month.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team on classroom scheduling to ensure proper group sizes and ratios are maintained.
  • Collaborate with Preschool Program Coordinator on monthly newsletter content.
  • Relays pertinent information regarding strengths, needs and areas of growth of the infant/toddler team as a whole, and as individuals to the Executive Director
  • Collaborates with the Leadership Team for program planning, training, creation of policies and procedures, and day to day operations.



Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience in an early childhood education setting.
  • Five years of experience in an educational setting
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Works well with others, good communication, both oral and written
  • Basic computer/technology skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, use stairs, and get up and down from the floor frequently
  • Must pass background check, fingerprinting, child abuse and neglect registry, and drug screening
  • Obtain physical and TB test
