Location: Joliet, IL
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying special needs.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment tailored to facilitate learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student care and progress.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote optimal learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in accordance with school policies.
- Engage students in meaningful activities that align with their IEP goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 certification is required.
- Degree in Special Education or related field.
- Proven experience working with students in a special education setting, particularly at the middle school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans.
