Job Description
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured in the plant meet customer expectations in terms of quality, cost, and service. This role provides effective support for all plant functions to achieve this goal and proactively complies with all local, state, federal regulations, and corporate/plant policies, rules, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform all activities associated with testing the physical and performance attributes of test products.
- Maintain current knowledge of accepted methods, specifications, standards, and tolerances.
- Place product that does not meet requirements on hold as needed.
- Evaluate all products, including test results and related information, to make informed decisions on passing, holding, rejecting, dispositioning, or reworking products and take appropriate action.
- Communicate to the appropriate personnel when product samples do not meet requirements.
- Record all data and information related to quality accurately and thoroughly.
- Enter product testing/results into a computer system and ensure complete upkeep and maintenance of these records.
- Maintain day-to-day working conditions in the lab, including cleanliness, orderliness, safety, routine maintenance, sanitation, and organization of controls, samples, records, and files.
- Adhere to food safety, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures; execute duties as outlined in standard operating procedures; and report any related concerns to the Production or Quality Supervisor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in the Sciences OR 2 years of Quality Experience from FDA regulated industries.
Work Environment
The role operates on a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule, with openings from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Training will be conducted directly on the shift.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.78 - $24.78/hr.
