ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Education & Training Director, you will be the driving force behind creating an engaging, effective learning culture across our agency. You will develop, deliver, and manage essential training programs to ensure our staff meet mandatory requirements set by OPWDD, OMH, DOH, OSHA, and other oversight entities - all while helping them grow professionally.
In this highly impactful role, you will also provide direct supervision to the Staff Development Instructor and collaborate with our Healthcare Educator. You will lead the coordination of new hire orientation, mentor trainers agency-wide, oversee our Learning Management System, and ensure that every member of our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding services to the individuals we support.

SCHEDULE/HOURS:
- Full-time position
- Flexible schedule required to meet training needs; some evenings and weekends may be necessary
- Based at our Conference & Training Center, with travel to various sites across Oneida and Lewis Counties
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field, or licensed as a Registered Nurse
- 5 years of experience in the human services field (OPWDD experience preferred), including 3 years in training or in-service capacity OR
- 4+ years of experience in training for an OPWDD-covered entity, with expertise in LMS administration, curriculum development, and mentorship
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver training content across multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, LMS-based)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Experience working with diverse populations and promoting inclusive practices
- Ability to stand for long periods and travel to various training locations
- Certification or ability to obtain certification in CPR, First Aid, SCIP, and other required areas
- Proficient with training technology and LMS platforms

Compensation:
- Salary range: $55,00-$60,000
