A Middle School Special Education Teacher is needed for the 2025-2026 school year in Cary, NC. This contract position offers the opportunity to support and empower students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Create a supportive, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement.
- Utilize various instructional methods and assistive technologies to facilitate learning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, teaching strategies, and behavioral interventions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student requirements.
- Commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
