A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for K-12 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) educators in Mount Pleasant, MI. This contract position is for the upcoming school year within a K-12 educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support social, emotional, and academic growth
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administration to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant educational regulations and policies
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong knowledge of K-12 curriculum standards and special education law
- Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction and behavioral support plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
