A K-12 school in Houston, TX, is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position spanning the entire academic school year. This role involves supporting the mental health and educational development of students through psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify student needs, strengths, and challenges
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student behavior and academic issues
- Maintain detailed records and provide timely reports consistent with school and district policies
- Support efforts to promote positive behavioral and mental health practices across the school community
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, interventions, and legal requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Skilled in data analysis and documentation pertinent to student psychological services
