Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions in school districts across the Spartanburg, SC area. Job Requirements:
All applicants must meet South Carolina state and local certification requirements, including:

• A bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution

• Valid South Carolina teaching certification with an appropriate Special Education endorsement, issued by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE)

• Successful completion of required state and district background checks and fingerprinting

• Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance with IDEA regulations

• Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, your role will focus on supporting students with disabilities through individualized instruction and team collaboration. Typical responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing IEPs that align with students' unique needs and learning goals

• Delivering targeted instruction in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classroom settings

• Working closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families

• Monitoring and reporting student progress toward IEP goals

• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA

• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
