Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions in school districts across the Spartanburg, SC area. Job Requirements:
All applicants must meet South Carolina state and local certification requirements, including:

A bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution

Valid South Carolina teaching certification with an appropriate Special Education endorsement, issued by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE)

Successful completion of required state and district background checks and fingerprinting

Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance with IDEA regulations

Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, your role will focus on supporting students with disabilities through individualized instruction and team collaboration. Typical responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing IEPs that align with students' unique needs and learning goals

Delivering targeted instruction in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classroom settings

Working closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
-
Monitoring and reporting student progress toward IEP goals

Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA
-
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
