Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Milford, KS. The position focuses on adapted special education services for students from kindergarten through 11th grade, supporting approximately 9 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), with the potential for enrollment growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver adapted special education instruction tailored to students unique needs across grades K-11
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and support staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and pliance with special education guidelines
Qualifications:
- Kansas Adapted Special Education certification for PreK-12 or K-12 required
- Experience working with a diverse range of students in special education settings preferred
- Strong munication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 9 students, adaptable to potential enrollment changes
Position Details:
- Contract dates: August 13, 2025 May 26, 2026
- Scheduled hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM
- Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
- One K-12 campus assignment
