Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions with school districts in the Waynesville, MO area. We are seeking dedicated educators who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs through inclusive and individualized instruction.
Job Requirements:
All applicants must meet Missouri state and local certification requirements, including:

A bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution

A valid Missouri teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement, issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

Successful completion of required background checks and fingerprinting
-
Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Special Education Teachers will support students with disabilities through customized instruction and collaboration with school staff. Responsibilities include:

Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs tailored to students academic and behavioral needs

Providing instruction in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classroom settings
-
Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families
-
Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
-
Ensuring compliance with IDEA, Missouri state regulations, and district policies
-
Fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
