The Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is looking to hire a full-time Learning and Professional Development Coordinator.
The Learning and Professional Development Coordinator earns a competitive salary of 55,000/ year.
The Learning and Professional Development Coordinator works under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Development & Engagement. The Learning and Professional Development Coordinator will engage in training programs that support employee growth and organizational effectiveness.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEARNING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR:
As a Learning and Professional Development Coordinator, you are responsible for facilitating learning experiences that are practical, inclusive, and aligned with strategic objectives. The trainer also plays a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives, using data to continuously improve content and delivery methods. The position collaborates across departments to ensure staff are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and motivation to perform at their best in a mission-driven environment. The Learning and Professional Development Coordinator will facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions on topics such as onboarding, communication, leadership, compliance and will have to analyze learning data to measure knowledge retention, behavior change, and organizational outcomes. Also, you will have to collaborate with HR and department leaders to schedule and promote training sessions and provide feedback on training materials, and suggest updates based on learner feedback and evaluation results. The trainer will support employees in gaining confidence and competence using site-specific databases in the workplace and collaborate with IT and HR teams to incorporate system updates or new tools into training content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security
- Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development, human resources, or a related field with two (2) to four (4) years of experience in training delivery and facilitation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, and LMS)
- Strong presentation and Communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Experience with learning evaluation tools and techniques
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to pass multiple background screenings to include:
- Background check
- DMV 3-year driving record
- Medicaid Exclusion
- Child Abuse/Sex Offender Registry
- Fingerprint (SC resident less than one year)
- 3 written professional references
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must meet the physical demands of pre-employment screening to include lifting to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
