Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school in Cottage Grove, MN, for the uping school year on a contract basis. This role offers the choice to specialize in general elementary special education or focus on Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The educator will collaborate with students to enhance academic performance and develop critical learning skills through tailored instruction that meets each students unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Utilize specialized teaching strategies to support students with EBD, ASD, or other special education needs.
  • Collaborate with related services staff, including therapists and counselors, to ensure prehensive support for students.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional techniques to maximize learning outes.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and pliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Department of Education Special Education License is required.
  • Experience in writing and implementing IEPs.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of educational and related service professionals.
  • Strong munication skills and a mitment to student development.

  • Cottage Grove, Minnesota Elementary school setting.
