Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Openings throughout Chicago, Illinois
Duration: Full-Time, 2025-2026 School Year
Overview: We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure every student receives the attention and resources necessary to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varying learning capabilities of students.
- Facilitate a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License with an LBS1 Teaching Endorsement
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Understandingof behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
