Position: Full-Time Contract
Pay:Starting at 35 an Hour

We are currently seeking a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist for a school-based position in New Orleans, LA, for the 20252026 school year. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about providing accessible education and communication support to students with hearing impairments.

Job Duties:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, parents, and support teams

  • Assist in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to each students needs

  • Promote inclusive practices and accessibility across the educational setting

  • Monitor student progress and adjust service delivery accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field

  • Valid Louisiana state certification or licensure for Deaf/Hard of Hearing

  • Ability to meet all federal, state, and school district requirements
