A school psychologist position is available for the uping school year at an elementary school in Phoenix, AZ. This contract role focuses on providing essential psychological services to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students learning abilities and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement targeted interventions
- Provide counseling and support services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to plan and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in pliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid school psychologist certification or licensure for the state of Arizona
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Excellent munication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Knowledge of educational laws, special education practices, and evidence-based intervention strategies
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Duration: Contract for the normal school year (NSY)
