An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a Glendale Heights, IL area school setting. This contract position spans the full school year and focuses on delivering individualized educational programs that address diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for students with special needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and parents to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Utilize specialized instructional strategies and assistive technology to enhance student engagement and achievement
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and ply with all state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education
• Experience working with students across the K-12 spectrum in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, classroom management, and differentiated instruction
• Excellent munication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Patience, empathy, and a mitment to student success
