Pharmacy Technician Instructor Job Summary
Northwest Career College is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor who must have at least three years of work experience in a pharmacy setting as a licensed Pharmacy Technician or pharmacist.
Pharmacy Technician Instructor Roles and Responsibilities
- Teach pharmacy technician courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus and as directed by the program supervisor.
- Assist students with difficult concepts in tutoring sessions.
- Grade student lab activities and practical examinations.
- Maintain a daily record of student attendance.
- Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
- Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations, both verbally and in writing
- Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and job-related duties as assigned.
Experience
- REQUIRED: 3+ years of non-overlapping experience in the pharmacy field
- PREFERRED: 1+ years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
License/Certification
- REQUIRED: Current Pharmaceutical Technician License, Intern Pharmacist License, or Pharmacist License.
- REQUIRED: PTCE [PTCB CPhT Certification] (within 75 days)

- REQUIRED: high school diploma or equivalent

Schedule (daytime hours required)
- PREFERRED: Monday-Thursday - Adjunct/Per Diem
- REQUIRED: Saturday - Adjunct - 8 a.m. - 3 p.m
Salary
- $23/ hourly (Based on prior education and experience)
