Founded in 1909 and affiliated with the Episcopal Church, The Bishop’s School is an independent, all gender college-preparatory day school for 800 students in grades six through twelve located on a historic campus in the heart of La Jolla, just 10 miles north of downtown San Diego. With a student-teacher ratio of approximately 9 to 1, Bishop’s is known for academic, artistic, and athletic excellence while celebrating character development, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Anticipated Base Compensation: $31.25 to $34.47

Summary Description

The Bishop’s Annual Giving Coordinator reports to the Director of Annual Giving and is responsible for coordinating and executing all efforts related to the Bishop's School annual giving initiatives. This role will be responsible for planning and executing: the School’s October annual giving campaign, signature annual giving stewardship events, new family philanthropic engagement, annual solicitations, and weekly annual giving reports. The coordinator proactively provides comprehensive support and resources regarding department goals, functions, and programs.

Essential Functions and Specific Duties

  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Annual Giving to develop, execute, and maintain fundraising initiatives to increase unrestricted philanthropic support and participation for annual giving programming.
  • Coordinate Bishop’s October giving campaign.
  • Manage 80+ parent volunteers as part of the peer to peer calling program.
  • Create and implement weekly and annual reports to benchmark The Bishop’s Fund’s impact year over year.
  • Run queries and lists from our database (Raiser's Edge) for the Annual Giving and Alumni team.
  • Manage annual giving platforms, including but not limited to: GiveCampus, ThankView, Double the Donation, etc.
  • Coordinate all annual giving e-communications and mailings.
  • Provide event support for signature advancement events.
  • Assist alumni department with engagement efforts.
  • Perform other administrative duties for the Annual Giving and Alumni team, as needed.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a professional working environment. Experience in advancement or annual giving is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Google Workspace and aptitude for learning new technology.
  • Raiser’s Edge and/or other fundraising software.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
