Soliant Education is seeking two qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time, onsite position in Norfolk, VA for the 20252026 school year. This is an itinerant position serving students across various schools within the district.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to K-12 students with visual impairments

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams

  • Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and related service providers

  • Travel between school sites as required

  • Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports

  • Adapt instructional materials and provide accessible resources

Requirements:

  • Active Virginia Department of Education certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

  • Experience working with students with visual impairments in a school setting preferred

  • Strong munication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload

  • Must pass background checks as required by the school district
