Soliant Education is seeking two qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time, onsite position in Norfolk, VA for the 20252026 school year. This is an itinerant position serving students across various schools within the district.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative services to K-12 students with visual impairments

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams
-
Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments
-
Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and related service providers

Travel between school sites as required

Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports
-
Adapt instructional materials and provide accessible resources
Requirements:
-
Active Virginia Department of Education certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Experience working with students with visual impairments in a school setting preferred

Strong munication and organizational skills
-
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload

Must pass background checks as required by the school district
