Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following state and local requirements to be considered:

Hold a valid Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education (e.g., Special Education Generalist or Specialist)

Pass a criminal background check
-
Complete fingerprinting and clearance as required by the Oregon Department of Education
-
Meet district-specific qualifications including reference checks and professional experience verification
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Provide direct instruction and support tailored to students' individual needs

Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies accordingly

Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments

Maintain compliance with IDEA, state laws, and district policies related to special education services
