Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.

A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This contract position is designed for the current school year and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on students academic and social development in a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with K-12 students within a school setting
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of communication methods including American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with families, support staff, and administration
  • Fresh J.O. authorization successfully passed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with hearing impairments
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Provide support and resources to foster student inclusion and engagement
  • Communicate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary teams regarding student development
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations for special education

Location:This role is based in Florence, Kentucky, serving a public K-12 school environment.
