Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
A school district in Berkeley, CA is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, contract position is based at an elementary TK-5th grade school and provides a unique blend of responsibilities across different settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students in grades TK-5.
- Write detailed reports based on psychological evaluations.
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Attend school meetings such as Child Oute Summary Team (COST) and Student Study Team (SST).
- Provide leadership and support to the special education team at the school site.
- Dedicate three days per week working directly at the elementary school.
- Spend two days conducting private school evaluations or assisting other school psychologists within the district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Credential or license as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children (TK-5).
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments and generate prehensive reports.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP development and meetings.
Location: Berkeley, CA
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, school year contract.
- Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
