In a vibrant educational setting, an opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to take on the role of a Mild/Mod Special Education Teacher. This position is designed for the upcoming 20252026 school year and focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment for high school students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans to meet the individual needs of approximately 28 students.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to foster a comprehensive support system.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to promote successful learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements.
- Engage in regular professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current in the field.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist credential in Mild/Mod (MMSN or ESN).
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed (ED) students is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, though not required.
