Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational opportunity is available for experienced Early Childhood Special Education Teachers and Special Education Teachers knowledgeable in serving students on the general education curriculum. These contract positions are located in Manassas, VA, within an early childhood school setting and extend through the school year.
Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction and support for students in self-contained and/or inclusion settings spanning grades K-12. Teachers will manage a caseload of approximately 10-14 students, ensuring individualized educational plans are effectively implemented. Collaboration with general education staff and families is essential to support student success.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification in Special Education, with a focus on Early Childhood preferred
- Experience working with students in inclusive and self-contained environments
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues
- Classroom management skills appropriate to K-12 special education students
Key details:
- Location: Manassas, VA
- Contract duration: Full school year, with the school year starting August 7 and the first student day on August 13
- Caseload: 10-14 students per teacher
