Job Title: Part-Time School Psychologist
Grade Levels: Elementary (Grades K5)
Schedule: 1520 hours per week (Flexible within school hours)

Position Overview

Ohio Valley ESC Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time School Psychologist to support the academic and emotional success of elementary-aged students. This role offers flexible scheduling (1520 hours per week) and focuses on early identification, intervention, and assessment in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students receive the services they need to thrive both academically and socially. This position is ideal for experienced school psychologists looking for a reduced-hour schedule or early-career professionals seeking flexible work in a close-knit educational community.

Work Schedule

  • Hours: 1520 hours per week (flexible; scheduled during standard school hours, MF)

  • On-Site: All services will be provided in person at one or more Ohio Valleyelementary buildings

ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Evaluation

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for elementary students referred through the special education process.

  • Administer and interpret a wide range of assessment tools to evaluate cognitive, academic, behavioral, social, and emotional functioning.

  • Write clear, legally compliant reports and participate in IEP eligibility meetings.

Consultation & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with general and special education teachers, intervention specialists, and administrators to identify students needing further academic, emotional, or behavioral support.

  • Participate in problem-solving teams, student intervention teams, and other collaborative structures within the building.

  • Provide input for behavior intervention plans (BIPs), 504 Plans, and early intervention strategies when requested.

MTSS Support

  • Offer occasional consultation to Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams regarding interventions and student response to instruction.

  • Assist in interpreting academic and behavioral data to guide decision-making.

Prevention & Mental Health

  • Support student well-being through early identification of mental health or developmental concerns.

  • Recommend strategies and resources to help teachers and families address student needs.

  • Provide brief, school-based crisis support or counseling if needed (as time allows).

QualificationsRequired:

  • Valid School Psychologist license issued by the Ohio Department of Education

  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and working with IEP teams

  • Familiarity with early childhood development and elementary learning standards

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with elementary school populations

  • Knowledge of Ohio special education law and MTSS frameworks

  • Experience with digital recordkeeping (e.g., EMIS, IEP writing platforms)
