Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired for a contract position lasting the full school year.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion
• Utilizing assistive technologies and adaptive materials to enhance learning
• Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments
• Experience working with visually impaired children in an educational setting
• Strong knowledge of teaching strategies and assistive technologies for blindness or low vision
• Excellent munication and collaboration skills
