A full-time School Psychologist position is available in a K-12 setting located in Hamilton, GA. This contract role is for the full school year (NSY) and requires dedication to supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role involves applying psychological principles to assess and support the educational and emotional needs of students, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students K-12
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive educational outcomes
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as required
- Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Appropriate state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in school settings
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload with professionalism and confidentiality
Location: Hamilton, GA
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Contract for the full school year (NSY)
