Great Salt Plains Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Education & Training Coordinator to support the professional development of staff across our organization. This newly refined position plays a critical role in onboarding, ongoing education, compliance training, and clinical development.
The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare and training delivery, a strong understanding of adult learning principles, and a passion for ensuring that employees are confident, competent, and compliant in their roles. This role supports quality improvement, patient safety, and operational excellence through structured education, training oversight, and hands-on coordination of learning programs.
Position Summary
The Education and Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing educational programs across all health center locations. This role develops and delivers high-quality, evidence-based training to health care professionals and support staff. It supports quality improvement, onboarding, regulatory compliance, and the introduction of new technology and processes. The Coordinator contributes to a collaborative and compliant work environment through training, policy development, and ongoing support.
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma RN or LPN license preferred but not required
- Strongly preferred: background in education, training, or staff development
- Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Medical/clinical field experience preferred
- Proven ability to train and communicate with diverse learner types
- CPR Instructor Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs to support safe, outcome-focused care
- Provide new hire and ongoing training in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Assess training needs and create individualized training paths
- Coordinate onboarding for all new hires; oversee training plans
- Conduct employee infection control training (HRSA and CDC required)
- Track new hire and annual employee immunizations and testing
- Monitor CPR certification and assist with professional license tracking
- Complete competency checklists for credentialing in coordination with People Operations
- Collaborate with leadership to roll out timely, relevant training
