Summary
Arts for Kids is a specialty childcare offering a creative curriculum for children 6 weeks old to 11 years of age. We offer specialty classes in art, music, sign-language, yoga and environmental science.

Arts for Kids is currently hiring for a reliable, caring, compassionate and fun-loving Lead Teacher. Position is full-time, Monday through Friday. No weekends!

Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fill in for Lead Teachers who are on vacation, sick or as needed:
- Maintain accurate and update attendance records.
- Follow through with lesson plans developed by the criteria of the monthly themes set forth by Arts For Kids.
- Plan, schedule, and implement a daily program for the children.
- Have a daily "Health Check" on each child in your care.
- Wash and sterile classroom toys on a daily basis.
- Keep an organized classroom.
- Keep classroom clean and neat; avoid collection of paper, etc. from collecting on shelves, cabinets, children's cubbies, etc.
- Stock classroom with necessary supplies (Kleenex, paper towel, etc.) when needed.
- Young Star knowledge.
- Inform Director of all communicable diseases as soon as parent notifies center.Post a sign in the entry to the Infant or Toddler area regarding this outbreak.
- Keep children's cubbies in a clean and orderly manner; notify parents when a child is missing items that should be kept at the center.
- Responsible for guiding and assisting aides and assistances.
- Supervise aides and assistants assigned to your classroom giving clear cut and concise directions.
- Make yourself available to communicate with parents upon request.
Requirements
Associate degree in Child Care and Development, Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field, or six (6) credits as approved by the Department Human Services or the following courses: Introduction to the Early Childcare Profession, Fundamentals of Infant Toddler and Skills and Strategies.
