An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a nurturing school environment. This position involves working closely with young learners to provide individualized instruction and promote their academic and social growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing specialized lesson plans tailored to students' unique needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning experiences
- Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Managing classroom behavior and creating a positive, supportive atmosphere
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and maintaining detailed documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and acmodations for diverse learners
- Excellent munication and teamwork skills
- Patience, creativity, and dedication to fostering student success
