Job Posting: Onsite Special Education Teacher (K-5) Montville, ME Area
2025-2026 School Year | Contract Position with Soliant Education

Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for an onsite position in the Montville, ME area. This full-time role is for the uping 2025-2026 school year and focuses on K-5 students within a Life Skills classroom serving individuals with severe or multiple cognitive disabilities.

Position Details:

  • Grade Level: K-5

  • Caseload: 12 students

  • Support: 7 Ed Techs (Paraprofessionals) in classroom

  • Schedule: August 25, 2025 June 10, 2026

  • Hours: 8:15 AM 3:30 PM

  • Employment Type: Full-time, onsite

  • Pay Range: $36 $46 per hour (based on experience, degree level, and other qualifications)

  • Licensure Required: Maine State Certification 282 or an out-of-state equivalent eligible for reciprocity

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with severe and multiple cognitive disabilities in a structured Life Skills setting

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs

  • Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other team members

  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports in pliance with school and state requirements

  • Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions

Requirements:

  • Valid Maine Special Education Certification (282) or eligible out-of-state equivalent

  • Previous experience working with students with severe/multiple disabilities preferred

  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills

  • Excellent munication and collaboration abilities
