Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required.
Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.

Job Description:
As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), you will provide specialized instruction and support services to students who are blind or visually impaired. Your responsibilities will include assessing students functional vision and learning needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with educational staff and families to create accessible learning environments. Youll empower students to build independence and succeed academically and socially within the school community.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must hold a valid Louisiana teaching certification with an endorsement in Visual Impairments and meet all state and district requirements, including passing background checks and obtaining necessary clearances to work in a school setting.
