Summary

Kids World Montessori
Kids World Montessori is a bilingual English-Spanish program where children ages 15 months to 6 years cultivate a lifelong love of learning. We are currently accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to join our growing team. With smaller classroom sizes due to our limited capacity, teachers will have the opportunity to create strong connections and build a close-knit community with our families. Position:Primary Lead Teacher (ages 2.5-6)
Term:11 months, beginning July 25, 2025
Salary:$55,000-$65,000
Hours:7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Experience Level: min 5 years in the classroom

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain an engaging, organized learning environment for students
• Communicate with parents regarding children’s development
• Provide individualized instruction, including a mix of Montessori materials and Virginia State Standards for Kindergarten students
• Oversee student progress, collaborating with the assistant teacher to support all students
• Maintain class records, including lesson plans, curriculum, and observations for each child
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the primary teaching team
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training
• Become familiar with Transparent classroom record keeping
• create community events
• Be part of the growing team
• Be able to work in community with other teachers and parents

Requirements

Montessori teacher requirements:

• +5 years of experience in (3-6 classroom settings)
• Must be able to speak and communicate in English
• Speak and communicate in Spanish (preferably but not necessary)
• Completed training at a Montessori accredited center (AMS or AMI) or MACTE
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood teaching or a similar area of study
• Excellent Communication skills
• Understanding of the program and passion for alternative education
• Coachable and willing to train others.
• Ability to teach a large group of children of different ages
• Being a role model to children and colleagues
• Ability to multitask and organize learning programs
