A school psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year in Evanston, IL, serving an elementary school setting for students in grades K-8. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide psychological services and conduct IEP evaluations in a collaborative educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive IEP evaluations for students within inclusion (LRE1) and self-contained (LRE2) classrooms
- Managing a caseload of approximately 70 students in LRE1, 12 students in LRE2, and supporting a total of 84 IEPs
- Collaborating with school personnel, including the Dean of Specialized Services, to support student learning and development
- Participating actively in multidisciplinary teams to tailor interventions and assist in placement decisions
- Maintaining compliance with Illinois School Psychologist licensing requirements and school policies
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Successful completion of a background check
- Experience working with K-8 student populations in both inclusion and self-contained settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP evaluation procedures and special education law
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with educators, families, and other professionals

- End Date: End of school year
- Work Schedule: 2-3 days weekly initially (20-30 hours per week), transitioning to approximately 1 day weekly (7-8 hours)
