Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required.
This full-time role is designed for a dedicated educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, serving K-12 learners across multiple locations during the 2025-2026 school year. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing specialized support tailored to the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction and support for DHH students across various grade levels (K-12)
- Traveling to multiple school sites to work directly with students and collaborate with faculty
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Providing guidance and resources to mainstream teachers supporting DHH students
- Monitoring student progress and municating effectively with families and educational teams
Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) license with Deaf Education Endorsement or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in educational settings preferred
- Strong munication and collaboration skills, with flexibility to work onsite at multiple locations

- Albuquerque, NM (onsite presence preferred due to itinerant nature of the assignment)
