A K-12 educational institution in Greenville, KY is seeking qualified professionals to provide instruction and support for students who are visually impaired. This position offers a full school-year contract, creating an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the development and success of students with visual challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across grades K-12
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize adaptive technology and teaching methods to enhance learning experiences
  • Support students social-emotional development and independence skills
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing training and professional development

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kentucky Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license is required
  • Experience working with visually impaired children in an educational setting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of visual impairments and related instructional strategies
  • Ability to assess student needs and adapt curriculum accordingly
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
