Job Description
Senior Principal – Healthcare Architecture
Location: Boston, MA - National Impact | Practice Growth | Design Leadership
I'm working with an award-winning healthcare architecture firm with a national footprint. My client is seeking a Senior Principal to lead and expand its Boston-based Healthcare Practice. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role at a firm fully dedicated to designing environments that transform the delivery of care.
About the Role: You’ll be at the helm of one of the firm’s key regional offices, with the backing of a national team of healthcare design experts. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker, trusted advisor, and team builder — someone who thrives on deep client engagement, practice development, and high-level design leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead with Vision: Drive strategic planning, studio growth, and thought leadership across New England and beyond.
- Elevate Relationships: Leverage your industry network to strengthen and grow long-term partnerships with health systems, academic medical centers, and community providers.
- Shape Teams & Culture: Mentor and develop a strong team of architects, planners, and project leaders in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- Champion Design Excellence: Guide complex projects from ideation to execution, with a focus on innovative, human-centered solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- 15+ years of experience in architecture with deep expertise in healthcare design.
- A strong portfolio of built work and demonstrated success in business development, client leadership, and project execution.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and inspire collaboration across disciplines.
- Strong understanding of the New England healthcare landscape.
- Licensure ideal; AIA and LEED/EDAC certifications a plus.
Why This Firm? With a singular focus on healthcare, this firm offers the platform, expertise, and national recognition to support your vision. Their work spans cutting-edge hospitals, outpatient facilities, research centers, and behavioral health environments — all grounded in a commitment to improving health outcomes through design.
If you’re ready to join and lead a high-performing team that’s reshaping the future of healthcare through design, I’d love to connect.
