This role is situated in Elgin, IL, and is designed for the uping school year, providing a unique contract position for dedicated individuals passionate about student mental health.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification in School Psychology.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills.
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
  • Cultural petency and mitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Provide short-term counseling and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding students mental health and academic needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff on mental health awareness and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
