SUMMARY
The Middle School Ministry Pastor at Hill Country Bible Church serves as a spiritual leader for all middle school student ministry, providing vision, discipleship, and care for students. This role is responsible for fostering spiritual growth, equipping leaders, and creating a dynamic environment where students can develop a lasting relationship with Christ and live out their faith.
REPORTS TO:
The Middle School Pastor reports to the Next Generation Ministries Director.
Status: Full-time, Salaried, Ministerial Exception
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide overall leadership and vision for all Middle School student ministry, ensuring alignment with the churchs mission, vision, and values.
Teach and model biblical principles through preaching, small group discipleship, and relational ministry, helping students grow in their faith.
Equip, support, and empower teams of volunteer leaders and mentors to effectively minister to students.
Shepherd and disciple students through intentional relationships, teaching, and mentorship, leading them toward spiritual maturity and a Christ-centered life.
Provide spiritual care and prayer support to students, leaders, and families, offering biblical counsel and encouragement in times of crisis or personal growth.
Collaborate with parents and families to foster a strong partnership in the spiritual development of their children.
Lead and oversee student outreach initiatives and service projects that help students engage with the community and grow in their faith.
Partner strategically with other local missionally aligned ministries to meet students where they are.
Create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes student involvement and spiritual growth through relevant teaching and activities.
Plan, lead, and facilitate student ministry events such as retreats, camps, mission trips, and social gatherings to encourage growth and community building.
Ensure the integration of students into the broader life of the church, encouraging participation in worship, serving, and other church activities.
Continually evaluate and improve student ministry programs and initiatives to ensure their effectiveness in helping students develop a relationship with Christ.

Evidence of actively walking with the Lord in their everyday personal and work life.
Is passionate and actively working to support Hill Country Bible Churchs mission and demonstrating their values.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
Builds strong, genuine connections with middle school students, fostering trust and creating a safe space where they feel valued and supported in their faith journey.
Demonstrates the ability to create an engaging ministry environment, adjusting approaches to meet the unique needs and challenges of middle school students.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in ministry, theology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in student ministry leadership.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in student ministry leadership, including experience in teaching, mentoring, and leading teams.
A deep understanding of biblical teaching, youth development, and discipleship, with the ability to effectively engage and guide students in their faith journey.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in event planning, curriculum development, and volunteer coordination.
Physical Requirements: May sit for extended periods of time with limited walking, standing, stooping, or bending. May occasionally lift or move up to 50lbs.
