Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Psychologist to serve a PreK through Elementary caseload for the 20252026 school year in an Ohio school district. This flexible, part-time-to-full-time role (2530 hours per week) offers an ideal opportunity for a professional looking to make a meaningful difference in early childhood and primary education.
As a key member of the student support team, the School Psychologist will work closely with educators, administrators, parents, and related service providers to promote academic success, social-emotional growth, and behavioral health in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:Assessment & Evaluation

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students ages 3 to 10, including assessments of cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, and social functioning.

Interpret data and write clear, actionable evaluation reports aligned with Ohios special education eligibility criteria.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services.
Intervention & Consultation

Provide consultation to teachers and staff on classroom strategies, behavior supports, and academic accommodations.

Design and implement evidence-based interventions to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.

Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes within assigned schools.
IEP & Team Collaboration

Serve as a key contributor in IEP, ETR, and child study team meetings.

Help develop individualized education plans that reflect students' unique strengths and areas of need.

Partner with families to ensure understanding and engagement in the special education process.
Prevention & School-Wide Supports
-
Assist in the development and implementation of positive behavior intervention supports (PBIS).

Support social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives and trauma-informed practices across classrooms.

Contribute to crisis response planning and provide short-term mental health support when necessary.
Qualifications:

Required:
-
Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) School Psychologist License.

Completion of an accredited School Psychology program (Ed.S., Ph.D., or Psy.D.) or Masters in Psychology

Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Ohio Department of Education guidelines.

Preferred:
-
Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students.

Training or experience with functional behavior assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP).

Familiarity with electronic special education systems (e.g., EMIS, ProgressBook, Frontline).
