A school in Westland, MI is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers for multiple contract positions within a K-12 setting for the current school year.
Openings include:
- 1 Cognitively Impairment Program Teacher
- High School Resource Program Teachers
- 6 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teachers
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning needs.
- Provide tailored instruction and support to students with special education needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and specialists to promote student progress.
- Monitor student performance and adjust strategies as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and communication.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification or endorsement in Special Education.
- Appropriate state license for the role.
- Experience working with students who have cognitive impairments, ASD, or requiring resource support is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Location:Westland, Michigan
