New Orleans, LA / Full Time Contract for the 25/26 School Year / Pay: Starting at $42/hour for new graduates

We are seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to work in New Orleans, LA for the 20252026 school year.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree (minimum) in Education or related field

• Louisiana teaching certificate with an endorsement in Blind/Visually Impaired (P12), issued by the Louisiana Department of Education

• Proficiency in braille and use of assistive technology

• Completion of required fingerprinting and background check

Job Duties:

• Adapt and deliver curriculum to meet the needs of visually impaired students

• Create accessible instructional materials, including Braille, large print, and tactile graphics

• Provide direct and consultative services across multiple school sites

• Collaborate with educational teams to ensure student goals are met

• Monitor student development and document instructional progress
