Advantage Testing of Washington, D.C., is currently seeking creative, empathetic, and intellectually accomplished individuals to provide one-on-one tutoring. Our tutors play a vital role in shaping the academic futures of our students. Many members of our faculty hold advanced degrees and possess exceptional test scores and academic records.
We are looking for motivated professionals who are quick learners, effective communicators, and enthusiastic educators. Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a strong ability to inspire and guide students.
Position Responsibilities & Requirements

Provide official test scores for the ACT, SAT, LSAT, GRE, or GMAT

Demonstrate excellent teaching and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Offer exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions

Effectively engage with students and parents to support academic growth

Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills

Maintain a business casual appearance and professional demeanor

Quickly learn and implement our lesson plans and instructional materials

Act as an academic coach—enthusiastic, supportive, and motivational

Be prepared to take a practice ACT or SAT as part of the evaluation process

Clearly communicate tutoring goals, timelines, and progress to families
This position is for in-person tutoring at our Washington, D.C. office. Candidates must live in the D.C. area or be willing to commute regularly.
